I used to firmly believe that studying the law well could protect myself, but this is far from the case. In Shangqiu, Henan, I was illegally arrested and abused by the police. When I tried to seek justice, I found that higher-level leaders were also involved, covering up and conniving, leaving innocent people like me with nowhere to appeal.
I hope that my experience will draw more attention and make more people realize that in such an environment, anyone can become the next victim. We need to come together and say NO to this illegality, be bold, be bold, be bold, and we will be saved.
