I once had hope in China's legal system. However, after being illegally detained for questioning police misconduct—and watching my family suffer retaliation at the hands of the entire political system—I completely lost faith in the Chinese Communist Party regime. It silences dissent, tramples on human rights, and stands as the greatest threat to the freedom and dignity of the Chinese people.

As long as the CCP remains in power, true democracy and rule of law in China are impossible. As long as Xi Jinping remains in control, dictatorship will continue. In the face of such authoritarian rule, the Chinese people have the right to awaken, unite, and resolutely resist all forms of oppression. We must abandon illusions and stop hoping for top-down reforms. Instead, we must pursue freedom with clarity and conviction. To end tyranny is the inalienable right of the people.
