Some people advocate for establishing a NATO-like collective defense alliance in Asia to counter China. But even setting aside the fact that many Asian countries have close economic ties with the Chinese Communist Party, such an alliance would inevitably be a loose organization. Each member nation would have its own agenda, making the alliance nothing more than a disunited patchwork. In my view, the most direct, effective, and economical solution is to overthrow the CCP’s authoritarian regime and eliminate Xi Jinping’s dictatorship. A free and democratic China would benefit the entire world.
