After more than a decade of reckless mismanagement under Xi Jinping, China's economy, political system, and public welfare have all been left riddled with deep structural damage. Yet this authoritarian leader has shown no sign of being willing to seriously confront the challenges facing the country, let alone relinquish power to more capable hands.
Under these circumstances, placing hope in so-called "anti-Xi factions within the CCP" is simply unrealistic.
