I was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for engaging in human rights activities in mainland China and was forced to flee in July 2023. My young daughter and I submitted a refugee application to the UNHCR Thailand office on October 9, 2023. It has been nearly eight months since then.
Facing the CCP's relentless crackdown and transnational manhunt, I am constantly vigilant, fearing that at any moment we might be brutally captured and repatriated by the CCP.
Why did you promise during the registration interview on November 9, 2023, to expedite my RSD interview, but after the intervention of CCP agents, there has been no outcome?
In nearly eight months, I have sent you 22 emails pleading for an RSD interview. Why have you not responded? Is this your arrogance?
You are well aware that, according to the United Nations Refugee Convention and Protocol, the persecution I suffer from the CCP fully meets the definition of a refugee. Unable to deny this, are you deliberately delaying my RSD interview to comply with the CCP?
My daughter has already been out of school for a year because of me. Why do you stand by and watch as my daughter and I suffer? Is this your cold-bloodedness?
The mission of the UNHCR is to protect the rights and provide assistance to refugees. Why do you dare to violate the UNHCR's mission? Are you an independent kingdom without oversight or accountability? How are you different from the authoritarian CCP?
While I resist tyranny and engage in human rights activities, I also have to face your indifference and inaction. Are you trying to drive me to my death?
The CCP is already very cruel, and your behavior is just like theirs. This is aiding and abetting the tyrant!
Good people are bullied, and kind horses are ridden.
Enough, truly enough. Your collusion with the CCP against dissidents is disgraceful and utterly devoid of moral integrity!
Just as I dare to resist the CCP's tyranny, I am equally unafraid to oppose any illegal actions.
One must be capable of fighting to stop the fight. We shall see!
You may refuse to receive my emails, but you cannot refuse my public disclosures to governments, international organizations, and the media.
