His silence and indulgence have pushed the illegal actions of the Yucheng County Public Security Bureau to an unchecked extreme, tearing apart the fig leaf of Xi Jinping's so-called “rule of law.” My case of persecution not only exposes the abuse of power by local police but also reveals the ugly truth about how local governments like Jiang Yanjun collude with evil forces to trample on the law and violate civil rights.
As the highest administrative officer in Yucheng County, how could Jiang Yanjun remain silent when the head of the county’s police, Jia Tao, and his gang of officers openly broke the law, illegally restricted my family member's travel, and implicated innocent relatives? Why did he choose to turn a blind eye? On November 11, 2024, my family member was intercepted at Shanghai Pudong International Airport while attempting to leave the country—this is an outright example of collective punishment. Could Jiang Yanjun have been unaware of this? The Yucheng County Public Security Bureau, an important department under his jurisdiction, dared to blatantly trample on human rights, and yet Jiang Yanjun didn’t even issue a single reprimand. Is this not incompetence? Is this not corruption? A county governor who can’t control the public power in his own jurisdiction is either a fool or is colluding with these thugs. Either way, he deserves to be removed from office.
Even more ridiculous is the fact that after I questioned the police's illegal actions, I was illegally detained and threatened by the Xincheng Police Station in Suiyang District, Shangqiu City, eventually being forced to flee overseas. Meanwhile, the Yucheng County Public Security Bureau continued to assist in cross-district persecution, imposing travel restrictions as revenge against my family. Behind this is the collusion of the bureaucratic systems in Suiyang District and Yucheng County, and Jiang Yanjun’s tacit approval and indulgence of this cross-regional persecution. It’s not that he doesn’t know, it’s that he doesn’t want to know. It’s not that he can’t manage, it’s that he doesn’t care to. Such a county governor is only in power for his own personal gain, not caring about the lives of the people or the dignity of the law.
Jiang Yanjun’s shamelessness does not stop there. Faced with repeated requests from the victims to lift the illegal travel restrictions, he chose indifference and disregard. This abuse of power and disregard for the people’s welfare is a true reflection of local bureaucrats in “New Era of Xi Jinping”. Xi Jinping constantly talks about the “Chinese Dream,” yet the people are living in a nightmare. He champions the “rule of law,” but allows corrupt officials like Jiang Yanjun to become a mockery of the law. The crimes of the Yucheng County Public Security Bureau are irrefutable evidence of Jiang Yanjun’s dereliction of duty, and Jiang Yanjun himself is a microcosm of Xi Jinping’s autocratic system. A regime that relies on corrupt officials to maintain its control has no basis to talk about “putting the people first.”
Jiang Yanjun, do you not realize how unfit you are as a county governor? The police in Yucheng County act with impunity, harming the local people, and you turn a blind eye, allowing them to bring the feudal legacy of collective punishment into the 21st century. You are not working; you are aiding and abetting evil! You are not governing Yucheng, you are ruining Yucheng! What use is a county governor who cannot even manage his subordinate agencies? What right does an official who watches corruption thrive and does nothing about it have to sit in the county chief’s position?
In the end, Jiang Yanjun’s corruption and incompetence are merely one facet of the CCP’s political malady. Xi Jinping’s autocracy is sustained by countless scoundrel bureaucrats like Jiang Yanjun.
