I have sent the open letter separately to the President of the European Parliament, EU High Representative, the President of the European Council, and the President of the European Commission via both email and online submission. Below is the full text of the letter:
Dear EU Human Rights Officials,
I write as a survivor of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In China, I engaged in peaceful human rights advocacy. For merely questioning illegal actions by the police, I was illegally arrested and persecuted. My father's arm was broken by state agents. My young son's arm was bitten, he was later banned from leaving the country. I was forced into exile in 2023. These are not isolated incidents—they reflect the CCP's systemic brutality.
The CCP crushes freedom of speech, imprisons journalists and dissidents, censors the internet, and controls every form of media. Human rights lawyers are arrested, tortured, and silenced. Family members of activists are harassed or punished. No real elections exist. Surveillance—through AI, facial recognition, and digital tracking—blankets society.
Beyond its borders, the CCP hunts down exiles through overseas police stations and Operation "Fox Hunt". It targets critics' families inside China to silence them abroad. The regime indoctrinates children, stifles thought, and rewrites history.
Having lived through this oppression, I know: There is no reforming the CCP. Economic engagement will not civilize it. Only by overthrowing the CCP's authoritarian rule and eliminating Xi Jinping's dictatorship can China move toward freedom and become a positive force in the world.
I urge the EU to:
Sanction CCP officials for human rights abuses.
Link trade to clear human rights benchmarks.
Build democratic alliances to counter Chinese authoritarianism.
This is not just about China—it is a test of Europe's moral leadership. The world is watching. Please stand with the victims, not the oppressors.
Sincerely,
A Survivor of the CCP persecution
