In a country with millions of military personnel, armed police, and law enforcement officers, it is absurd to accuse individuals of "subverting state power" merely for expressing opinions contrary to the party line. In a nation where even purchasing a kitchen knife requires real-name registration, what tools do you leave for the people to supposedly subvert you? Are kitchen knives now considered weapons for overthrowing governments?
The weaknesses of the CCP regime are glaringly obvious. Does freedom of speech and dissent automatically equate to "subversion" in the eyes of the government? If differing voices online pose a threat to the regime, then the strength of this government is truly questionable. Are truth and diverse thinking now deemed intolerable by the regime?
Freedom of speech is a hallmark of a strong nation, and a regime's zero-tolerance attitude towards any dissenting voices only reveals its inner fragility. Is a truly powerful regime afraid of ordinary citizens expressing diverse opinions online? This is not a genuine threat to national security but rather a manifestation of the CCP regime's lack of confidence in its own rule.
What's even more ironic is that in a society where even buying kitchen knives requires real-name registration, the regime claims to face threats of subversion. Doesn't this imply that even kitchen knives could potentially be tools for overthrowing the government? While real-name registration may control some extreme behaviors, linking the purchase of kitchen knives to subverting state power is undoubtedly an absurd abuse of reasonable security measures.
China's excessive restrictions on freedom of speech and the misuse of the "subversion of state power" charge will only make it appear more insecure and fragile in the international community. The CCP regime should address social issues and listen to the voices of the people rather than resorting to absurd charges to maintain its grip on power.
Previously, I suggested that the Chinese regime address social issues instead of focusing on the fabricated "subversion of state power" charge. However, given the backward actions of the Xi Jinping-led CCP regime in recent years, I now believe that my previous advice was akin to talking to a brick wall. Xi Jinping's ignorance and stubbornness surpass the comprehension of ordinary citizens, and the only way to combat his madness is through continued resistance. Victory lies in resistance, and we must continue to resist!
