On October 9, 2023, I submitted a refugee application at the UNHCR Thailand office. Now, eight months later, I still have not received an RSD (Refugee Status Determination) interview. Despite multiple email requests for an interview, I have received no response. Where is the oversight and reporting mechanism of the UNHCR Thailand office?
On November 9, 2023, when I registered for an interview at the UNHCR Thailand office, the staff were relatively polite and promised to expedite my process. However, since the CCP's intervention, the RSD interview has vanished without a trace. They are fully aware that my persecution experience entirely meets the criteria of the UN Refugee Convention and Protocol, and thus, they should not reject my application. Therefore, they have adopted an indefinite delay strategy. This is not the action of a few employees but a coordinated effort by many, including high-ranking officials!
Especially after I publicly reported the UNHCR leadership, no matter how I tried to contact them, the UNHCR ignored me. Can the UNHCR not withstand criticism?
In the face of the absurdity, corruption, inaction, and collusion with the CCP by the UNHCR, should I give up? Indeed, I no longer hold any expectations for my refugee application, but I will not tolerate the series of corrupt actions by the UNHCR; I empathize with the plight of the vast number of refugees. Fighting is the best way to resolve issues. Therefore, the trumpet to combat the UNHCR corruption has sounded.
Since December 27, 2023, I have sent more than ten emails to the Inspector General's Office at the UNHCR headquarters regarding the corruption and collusion with the CCP by the UNHCR Thailand office. The Inspector General's Office replied on March 21, 2024, stating that an investigation had been launched, but after more than two months, there is still no response.
I have reported to Hai Kyung Jun, the Director of the UNHCR Asia-Pacific multiple times, but she has blocked my social media accounts. I have also multiple times reported to Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, but he has blocked me as well.
This international organization, which claims to protect refugee rights and provide assistance, has now degenerated into a corrupt, authoritarian, dark empire. How is this any different from the totalitarian CCP?

Complaint procedures are in place to allow refugees and asylum-seekers to report serious misconduct by UNHCR staff, interpreters, security guards or partners including sexual exploitation and abuse. Reports on procedural unfairness (including the quality/availability of interpreters, access to UNHCR premises or staff, procedures for registration, RSD and other protection services) in UNHCR’s protection and assistance provision may also be submitted.
If the report is about misconduct committed by UNHCR and partner staff, interpreters or security guards, reports should be submitted directly to the Inspector General’s Office (IGO) at UNHCR Headquarters through one of the following confidential channels:
