A 24-Year-Old Young Man – What Crime Has He Committed?
He has committed no crime. He has broken no law. He has harmed no one.
Yet, he has been stripped of his most basic rights—just because of who his father is.
In November 2024, my son was stopped at Shanghai Pudong Airport. He was supposed to travel to Thailand, but his plans were crushed in an instant. The reason? None. He is a law-abiding Chinese citizen. His only "offense" is being the son of a dissident.
The airport officials provided one explanation: he was "border-controlled" at the request of Yucheng County Public Security Bureau. When he questioned the authorities, their absurd response was: “Young people without stable jobs are at risk of telecom fraud, so he is banned from leaving the country.”
This is beyond ridiculous. If "being young and jobless" is enough to justify a travel ban, then should millions of Chinese university students, freelancers, and fresh graduates also be locked within China's borders? Do they really expect anyone to believe such nonsense? Or have they simply stopped pretending to care about logic altogether?
But the real reason is obvious to everyone—he is my son.
Father’s "Crimes," Son’s Punishment—Is This Modern China or Imperial Feudalism?
In any civilized nation, the law punishes criminals, not their relatives. Yet in China, the CCP does not operate by law—it operates by "stability maintenance." If you dare to criticize the CCP, not only will you be persecuted, but your family will be collectively punished. Their jobs will be sabotaged, their movements restricted, and their lives suffocated.
Are we truly living in the 21st century? Or has China regressed to the days of Qin Shi Huang?
Is this a modern society, or has the ancient "guilt-by-association" system returned in full force?
A Chinese citizen—denied his freedom, not because of his actions, but because of his father’s name.
An Unjust Travel Ban – Destroying a Young Man’s Future
My son is 24 years old. This is the time in his life when he should be exploring the world, building his experiences, and shaping his future. Instead, the CCP has trapped him inside China with an illegal, secret ban.
- While his peers travel, study, and work abroad, he stands at the airport, watching their flights take off.
- While his friends plan their futures, he is left in confusion, wondering why his basic rights have been stolen.
- While he searches for job opportunities, he finds himself blacklisted, as potential employers mysteriously disappear.
All because he is the son of a dissident.
What Is the CCP So Afraid Of?
If my son were to leave China, what could he possibly do?
He is just an ordinary young man. He only wanted to visit Thailand, to see the world, to relax.
But to the CCP, his departure is dangerous.
Not because he is a threat—but because they fear what he might see.
They fear that he might witness real freedom. They fear that he might understand the world as it truly is.
What kind of regime is so fragile that it trembles at the idea of a young man simply stepping outside its borders?
Who Are the Real Criminals?
A 24-year-old young man—what crime has he committed?
The true criminals are those who abuse their power, violate the law, and strip citizens of their rights.
The true criminals are:
- Those who twist public authority into a personal weapon.
- Those who fabricate shameless lies to justify their oppression.
- Those who stay silent in the face of injustice, enabling tyranny to thrive.
- The CCP itself, which, in the name of “stability,” commits acts of persecution.
The CCP, Do You Dare Admit Your Crimes?
The Chinese Communist Party, do you dare to stand before the world and admit what you have done?
Do you dare to openly declare that you persecuted an innocent young man under the false pretense of preventing telecom fraud?
Do you dare to admit that you are using a modern version of collective punishment to silence political dissenters and their families?
You don’t dare.
So you remain silent. You feign ignorance, hoping that your crimes will be buried.
But the world is watching. Justice will not be silenced.
And history will not forget.
